Modes

User modes:

+I - Hides all channels from other users in /WHOIS.
+L - Stops you from being redirected to another channel.
+R - Prevents you receiving private messages from -r users.
+S - Converting private messages with colors to normal.
+T - Prevents you receiving CTCP requests.
+c - Prevents private messages from users who haven't common channels with you.
+i - Hides you from /WHO.
+o - You are now an IRC Operator.
+r - Marks that your nick is registered.
+w - You can receive WALLOPS.

Channel modes:

+C - Blocks CTCPs, other than ACTION, from the channel.
+F - Allows to set Nick Flood protection limit.
+I - Allows matching masks to have a permanent channel invite.
+J - Disallows a user from rejoining the channel until seconds after a kick.
+L - Allows to forward users in another channel when limit(+l) is reached.
+M - Prevents non-registered users from speaking.
+O - Restricts a channel to only network operators.
+R - Only registered users may join the channel.
+S - Converting all messages with colors to normal in the channel.
+T - Prevents any NOTICEs to be sent to the entire channel.
+b - Bans the matching mask from the channel.
+c - Blocks color lines from the channel.
+d - Prevent a user from speaking for seconds after joining.
+e - Exempt a mask from a +b that would otherwise affect them.
+f - Allows to set Message Flood protection limit.
+i - Makes a channel invite only.
+j - Allows to set Join Throttle protection limit.
+k - Sets the pass key required to join a channel.
+l - Allows to set channel limit.
+m - Prevents non-voiced users from speaking.
+n - Prevents external messages to the channel.
+p - Channel will not show up in /LIST, but will show up in user's WHOIS.
+r - Marks a channel as registered with services.
+s - Hides the channel from both /LIST and /WHOIS.
+z - Prevents users who aren’t connected to the network using SSL from joining.
